Capitalism at its finest: Michael Jackson's This Is It

I guess all it takes is you dying for the whole of society to forget just how crazy and weird you have been since you stepped out of the spot light. Hiding away in his Neverland Ranch, hanging his kid off a balcony, and two pedophile trials all forgotten just because the dude was gearing up for a 'come back' and then gets murdered by his doctor. Sorry if that's offensive to Michael fans, but the guy was undeniably a whack job and people seem to have just forgotten that.
In one of the most outstanding moves of capitalism since Best Buy put up Heath Ledger displays on the day of his death, Sony almost immediately announced their intention to release into theaters edited footage captured by Kenny Ortega during rehearsals for his now cancelled tour.
Rather than a movie of recent footage, how about a documentary about his life after he left the public eye, or how about a fictional narrative about the conspiracy between Sony, Ortega, and the doctor to take Michael out and profit heavily from his death? Both way more interesting than rehearsal footage. This footage should be part of an E special that everyone can enjoy without shelling out tons of money.
Thanks to Myspace for the trailer.
