A Christmas Carol, as promised

Last week at the D23 Disney Expo, Robert Zemeckis was on hand to preview a fancy new trailer for his upcoming A Christmas Carol starring Jim Carrey as the crotchety old Ebenezor Scrooge. And just like I though, that trailer has been released onto the trusty intertubes so the word can be spread.

I'm still not entirely sold on the motion capture technology Zemeckis has fallen in love with, but I'll take it since the movie looks like it'll be a fun new look at an age old classic.

The trailer opens with a bunch of flying words telling us who Robert Zemeckis is, listing off several of his previous films and wasting about 30 seconds of precious run time for really no reason. Lots of people know who Robert Zemeckis is by now since he's been making movies for damn near four decades, and even if they did take that into account, you don't really need to list the dude's entire catalog. I get it, he did some good stuf, but I'm hear for some ACTUAL footage from the movie, not words zooming at me in mock 3D.

That was my only beef with the trailer, so check it out below and see for yourself exactly what you'll be doing on November 6th.
