Peter Jackson's The Lovely Bones
Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at 11:46AM | Will LeBlanc Yesterday we got a teaser of the teaser from the marketing geniuses over at Entertainment Tonight, but Apple has for us an EXCLUSIVE trailer that the legendary Peter Jackson hopes we enjoy (he gives us a little intro).
The Lovely Bones stars Saoirse Ronan as adorable Susie Salmon (like the fish) a seemingly normal 14-year-old girl crushing on boys and building ships in a bottle with Marky Mark, until she is murdered. From "the in-between", Susie tries to help her father bring her killer (A very creepied out version of Stanley Tucci) to justice.
Saying that this trailer alone is visually STUNNING would be a criminal understatement. But since there really are no words beyond that, visually STUNNING (always capitalized) is what we'll go with for now until someone invents new words. It literally left me breathless and with wet eyes at how beautiful some of the imagery is. At this point I'd just like to meet Peter Jackson so I can personally thank him for continually renewing my faith in the industry.
