Serious With A Chance of Meatballs
The new thing that Hollywood ahs been trying out this summer has been releasing virtually the entirety of a movie via hundreds of strategically selected clips that basically lets you see the entire movie before it even hits theaters. Such is the case today with the Coen Brothers' latest awkward-a-thon A Serious Man, and Sony Animation's attempt to say "Hey we're not Pixar but you should pay attention to us anyway," Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs.
Serious apparently should have been called Yup, Everyone In This Film is Jewish. The movie looks laden with trademark Coen wit and humor as dry as your grandmother's Thanksgiving turkey. You didn't think that's where I was going with that joke, did you? Heads out of the gutter gang.
In stark contrast, Meatballs looks really fun and nice to look at all the while being packed tight with heaping scoopfuls of consequenceless violence against children, which is ok by me. Without question, this movie will bank more than you'll earn in 10 life times so you might as well see it just so you know what it is you should do in your next life.
The jolly gang of bandits over at CinemaBlend have wrangled all these clips up for your ocular enjoyment so hit one of the images below and go peruse the latest in Hollywood marketing schemes.
Personally, I want to see a movie about the inventor's act of defying God and creating the Ratbirds. Horror spinoff anyone?
