December 2010 is gonna be wicked
An interesting smattering of films have found their way to a December 17, 2010 release date surrounded by some more interesting films making the month already one of the most anticipated months of releases almost a year and a half in advance. While the majority of sensible humans could give two shits about the damn 3D animated Smurfs movie, the other films that are getting a Dec. 17th release that will certainly pack the house at midnight: Tron: Legacy, and The Green Hornet. Also a Yogi Bear movie I didn't even know existed until looking at Cominsoon.net's release pages.
And since I'll having nothing better to do that day, I'll probably spend most of it at the theater...Just kidding Kristin! You know I'll be at your B-day party.
If I had to guess, I would not expect The Green Hornet to sit on this date for too long before getting moved around by a weekend or two at the very least seeing as Tron fans are going to be too busy sweating profusely while gawping at light bikes and the Dude, drooling into their bag of nostalgia popcorn......myself very included. I'm bringing a towel. But knowing that I would see Tron twice before I saw The Green Hornet once makes me think that I am probably not the only one who will probably pass on Green Hornet for a few weekends. And I'll definitely pass on Smurfs.
And here's why:

The fact that there's going to be a smurf movie makes me sad.
