Beatles fans rejoice/rage
The classic Beatles animated film Yellow Submarine is getting the modern day business via director Robert Zemeckis whose name has become synonymous with one thing...3D. The film would be done in the same fashion every damn Zemeckis film has been done since he's been able to not film actors in real life, using mo cap.
Disney is producing which says to me it will probably be a little bit toned down from the original, which I understand is best enjoy with a group of friends and a handful hallucinogenic drugs. But who knows, I've never seen the original so it's probably just an innocent cartoon right?
More to come on this as the story develops out of Disney, who is currently busting its ass trying to scrabble together some music rights so they can make the film in the first place. Here's a trailer for the original released in 1968.
