Inglourious Graphic Novel
Like I said last week, ad campaigning has yet to be discouragingly over the top for Tarantino's World War II opus Inglourious Basterds, but in this its final week before release, it's about to get real.
Playboy has a 6 page "graphic novel" of sorts up on their site which you can feel free to read at work unless you think someone will see the word "PLAYBOY" and get you in trouble, there's no tits anywhere. The story is essentially word for word the scene from the movie, and you can see most of it go down in the trailer, but there's a flashback sequence intriducing you to why the club Donny Donowitz, AKA the Bear Jew (Eli Roth), uses the club.
The art style is really nice and fits the story well, and it's a fun scene albeit pretty damn unnecessary in comic form. Certainly worth checking out just for the artistic value of the piece itself, not necessarily as an ad piece for the film.
