Capitalism: A Love Story
Love him or hate him, it's undeniable that Michael Moore makes some evocative documentaries. Heck, he also wrote and directed a political satire starring John Candy entitled Canadian Bacon. And now he's back to take another stab at the American government with his film recently dubbed Capitalism: A Love Story.
When asked, Moore had this to say about the title:
"It will be the perfect date movie," Moore said in an announcement Wednesday. "It's got it all -- lust, passion, romance and 14,000 jobs being eliminated every day. It's a forbidden love, one that dare not speak its name. Heck, let's just say it: It's capitalism."
Having made three of the top six grossing documentaries, we can be sure to expect this one to climb into those ranks as well, especially since it deals with the causes of the current economic meltdown. Moore went so far as to issue an appeal to people working on Wall Street asking for them to expose what they knew from the inside, saying:
"Be a hero and help me expose the biggest swindle in American history,"
