Near Twilight, A shameless marketing ploy
In a completely ruthless attempt to sell more DVDs of the 22 year old Kathryn Bigelow film, Near Dark, Lion's Gate will be redistributing, starting yesterday July 7th, the movie with new cover art, switching from Figure A on the left, to Figure B below.

Did anyone else just throw up in their mouth a little bit? I sure did. This completely arrant attempt to sell DVDs to unsuspecting Twilight fans not only insults the fans of this movie, but also is really going to fuck with anyone who buys it expecting it to be pretty. It's not. There's loads of blood and gore, plenty of killing humans, and vampires do what they're fucking supposed to do when they are in the sunlight, explode.
My apologies to any Twilight fan who buys this under these false pretenses. Lions Gate, we aren't dumb. We see you back there snickering behind your computer screen. We know you're just trying to capitalize on Kathryn Bigelow's current success of the Hurt Locker. Kindly cut this shit out. There's enough Twilight shit out there, they don't need to be tricked into buying fake stuff. And lastly, in my best Daffy Duck voice, "You're Desssspicable!"
Just so you know how much Near Dark is NOT like Twilight, here's the trailer.
