DC Comics trying to make a mark

In 1969, JFK put a man on the moon, and DC Comics was acquired by Warner Bros. And since then, at no point has WB ever had more DC Comic properties in the works than right now. Endless film, TV, and direct to DVD scripts are being produced, shot or edited at this point and there is surely more to come.

Despite The Dark Knight's otherworldly popularity a year ago, DC didn't jump on the Marvel bandwagon and start cranking out movies like they did after X-Men and Spiderman hit at the box office. And with Iron Man and The Incredible Hulk having made Scrooge McDuck sized vaults of cash, and Thor on the way in preparation for The Avengers, many people are left wondering, "What about the Justice League, DC?"

Yeah DC, what about the Justice League? While DC's ultimate goal is still to follow the Marvel Avengers line of production, that project is quite a ways off. The original Justice League consisted of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Aquaman, Green Lantern, and Martian Hunter. If this is the crew DC would stick with, they are on the right track. While Christopher Nolan won't be back for another Batman until after he finishes his pet project Inception, that character is well grounded. Green Lantern just cast Ryan Reynolds in the lead role, so that will get rolling right away. The real problem characters are Superman and Wonder Woman.

Unfortunately for DC, Superman Returns didn't bank nearly enough or reach enough acclaim to really make anyone jump on board for a sequel. So what's their solution? Reboot it. Or at least, that's the rumor that has been growing in everyone's mind since a week ago when Brandon Routh's contracts expired. As for Wonder Woman, no one can seem to get a handle on how to put her on the big screen.

With Aquaman in development over at Leonardo DiCaprio's company Appian Way, and a Flash treatment hot off the presses, the only unaddressed hero is Martian Hunter.

While Justice League may still be a good 5 years at minimum, you can tide yourself over with DC's Jonah Hex, The Losers, and Red starring Bruce Willis.

Head on over to The Hollywood Reporter to read the full, confusing article about strategies and get a full list of the DC properties that WB has in store for us in the future.

I have to admit I wish I was still 18 , After all , even through the time while I was representing taht wild kid ,I really wasn't.I was just living my life . I was just not making movies at the time.-Leonardo --replica Dior Sandals
