Stephen Chow escapes the Green Hornet
Although green hornets are reverred to be the angriest, Stephen Chow managed to find his way to freedom after a lengthy pursuit. Slated first to both direct and co-star, Chow first stepped down from the director's chair, opting just to play The Green Hornet's second banana, Kato. However, unfortunately for us, Chow's connectoin to the film has been severed further as he is no longer attached to the project. The Hollywood Reporter say that after much deliberation at the studio, the parties involved made a:
"mutual and amicable decision by both sides to move on."
Currently powered by Seth Rogen and Cameron Diaz on her almost certain to fail comeback run, losing Chow is a loss to everyone who was excited to see The Green Hornet. One of the most fun filmmakers working today, the God of Cookery himself, his movies are not only incredibly well made, but unbelievably fun.
Look for The Green Hornet (which by no means I'm saying won't be good without Stephen Chow, just decidedly less good) 9 July 2010.
