More WATCHMEN Blu-ray sexiness
This next bit of news has got me chomping at the bit for a Blu-ray player. My laptop has one built into it, but I don't trust this thing to push blu-ray resolution to my TV without lagging a bit. So sadly, I'm going to have to wait to check out the Maximum Movie Mode on the Watchmen Director's Cut set to be released on July 21st.
Maximum Movie Mode takes us deeper into the analysis of a film than we've ever gotten to go, and our tour guide? Non other than Zack Snyder himself describing to use exactly what it was that went into the scenes.
This is far beyond any audio commentary could ever hope to achieve. With Maximum Movie Mode not only is the director able to explain why he chose to do what he did, but using split screens we can also see frames of the comic that he refernces, be shown still images from behind the scenes to show just what was put into the shot, and Zack even points out his little cameo in the back ground of one of the scenes.
I might just have to buy this disc and take advantage of my friends with players so I don't have to wait to witness the awesome fun that Maximum Movie Mode is sure to be.
Latino Review has a nice video preview of what you can expect.
