UNCHARTED going from polygon to the big screen

One of PS3's best selling and wildly popular video games Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is going to be given a run at the silver screen. Chugging right along, as I'm sure Sony wants to waste no time getting this one in the can as Uncharted 2's release is looming on the horizon, producer Avi Arad, Marvel's go-to guy, and the other producers have already gotten Kyle Ward started on the script. Name not ringing a bell? It shouldn't, and it probably won't after his few recognizable movies hit. He's just completed scripts for Kane & Lynch, as well as Hitman 2, which will hopefully perpetuate the awful miscasting of Timothy Olyphant.
The character of Drake is a lean, spikey haired dude who will be set doing many a Lara Croft-esque stunt around a jungle. I haven't played the game, but I'm told likening it to Tomb Raider is sort of just an easy comparison as this game is much more than that. Luckily, there's no shortage of lean, spikey haired dudes in Hollywood willing to play the roll so I'm assuming we'll see Chris Pine or Ryan Reynolds step into the roll which hopefully will carry as much wit as it does adventure.
