Robert Rodriguez plus Predator = Awesome, right? Well, maybe. Rodriguez isn't directing, just producing, and it sounds like the directorial front runner for the project is Vacancy hacksman Nimrod Antal. His first feature entitled Kontroll I haven't seen, but his upcoming release Armored does not intice me at all. I've already seen that movie, it's called SWAT, except instead of stealing money, in SWAT they steal a person who is going to give them money. Sprinkle in some Laurence Fishurne and a couple "that guys" and you've got Armored. Not intrigued in the slightest.
Don't even get me started on Vacancy though. Dogshit, the end. So you can imagine my half erect fan-cock going totally limp when the news dropped that this guy was getting the Predator quel, not sure if it's a pre- or a se-, so we'll just call it a quel for now. Although I thought the atmosphere of Vacancy was pretty solid, the substance was awful and the normally passable Luke Wilson and Kate Beckinsale couldn't have been more plank-esque.
Hollywood, if you could do everyone a favor and do something to lure this guy away from Predators, the filmosphere would greatly appreciate it.
