Watch the WATCHMEN in theaters one more time...maybe

To commemorate the director's cut Blu-ray release on July 21st of Watchmen, Warner Bros. is going to be showing that elongated version in (very) select theaters the week prior. I would love the chance to see even the theatrical cut one more time on the big screen, let alone the director's cut, sadly I don't live LA, New York, Minneapolis (what?) or Dallas.

This is also leading up to this years Comic-Con where they will be airing the Blu-ray as part of a BD-Live event. I'm not entirely sure what that is, but here's a quote from the Hollywood Reporter about it.

The rollout will culminate with a special screening July 25 at Comic-Con that is designed to act as a BD-Live event, a Blu-ray feature that will allow any viewer in North America to watch the movie simultaneously as the audience at Comic-Con, see and hear Snyder comment on the movie, and even ask questions. The screening will then be archived and will be able to be accessed for future viewings.

To me that says that anyone in the country can tune in an check out this screening, but I don't really get how that's going to work. Do they have some sort of Super-Internet that no one knows about that's going to be able to stream and HD quality movie into my computer? Is it going to show on G4 with the rest of Comic-Con coverage? I'll keep you all posted.

In the mean time, head on over to The Hollywood Reporter and see if you can make any more sense of it than me.

I just reread it and it sounds like its a feature on the Blu-ray. Still doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Damn inferior brain.
